Dr. Fabio Babiloni was graduated in electronic engineering at the University of Rome with honors and holds a PhD in Computational Engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology.
He is currently Professor of Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rome “Sapienza”, Italy. He is also full Professor of Biomedical Engineering. He currently teaches at the University of Rome Sapienza the following courses:
- “Physiology and Neuroscience” at the Medical School Faculty
- “Industrial Neuroscience” to the Engineering Faculty
- “Neuromarketing and Neuroeconomy” at the Psychology Faculty and in the MBA courses of the LUISS university
- “Biomedical Engineering” to the Biotechology Faculty
Professor Babiloni is author of 350 papers on bioengineering and neurophysiological topics on international peer-reviewed scientific journals, and more than 400 contributions to conferences and books chapters. He wrote several books on EEG signal processing. His total impact factor is more than 500 and his H-index is 91 (Google Scholar).
The professor Babiloni is on the list of Top Italian Scientists, the best 2,500 living Italian scientists in all fields of knowledge, operating in Italy and abroad. In the years 2022, 2023, and 2024, Prof. Fabio Babiloni was included in the list of the top 2% most cited scientists in the world in the fields of neuroscience and bioengineering (sources: Stanford University, PLOS One, Springer).
He was an editor for several international scientific journals, including the International Journal of Bioelectromagnetism, IEEE Trans. on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering, and IEEE Trans. on Biomedical Engineering. He was a member of the Advisory Committee of IEEE-EMBS from 2012 to 2016.
